Eric Momanyi is a visionary leader and systems thinker with a proven track record of driving sustainable change through innovative policy advocacy and strategic project management. With expertise spanning agriculture, sanitation, health systems, and climate change, Eric excels at navigating complex, multi-sectoral challenges and crafting impactful solutions that bring diverse stakeholders together.

Prior to founding Savanna Group, Eric spent 6 years at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as Senior Program Officer, Policy & Advocacy for Water and Sanitation. During this time, he worked with governments, academia, and donors to advance inclusive sanitation services in Africa and South Asia. His most notable achievement is the landmark partnership with the African Ministers Council on Water to develop the Africa Sanitation Policy Guidelines (ASPG), now being adopted by nearly 20 African countries.

Eric’s earlier experience includes founding Tusen Farms Ltd., an agritech platform supporting smallholder farmers in Eastern Africa, and serving as a Policy Advisor to the Government of Kenya. In these roles, he focused on integrating climate risks into national goals and evaluating the economic impact of key government initiatives.
